Technology Specialist

I supervise and instruct basic software classes for students and faculty in our Apple-equipped Computer Lab and maintain educational technology in the Benerd School of Education.

We, in the Mac Lab, provide 50 of the most current eMacs and a full complement of graphic software, including Dream Weaver, Flash, iMovie, and PhotoShop.

Our primary goal is to give future educators the confidence and skills necessary to understand and utilize a wide range of computer applications and, through this activity, to illuminate the cognitive processes involved in teaching, learning and comprehension.

Students in our teacher education program are required to construct and supplement a digital portfolio as a record of their academic progress through the School of Education.

This portfolio serves as both archive and resource of student projects and assignments that will be with them through their academic career.
