Annotated Bibliography, Qualifying Scholarly Activity, Masters Oral Exams, Dissertation Proposal, Dissertation Defense, Preliminary Administrative Services Credential, First Submission to Grad School, Professional Administrative Services Credential:  What does all this mean?  If you are involved with the Educational Administration and Leadership Department, you know these terms well, as you earn your administrative credentials, masters degrees, or become one of our doctoral (Ed.D.) students.

Hello, I am Laurie Rhea and I work in the Office of Educational Administration and Leadership at the Benerd School of Education.  I report directly to Dr. Dennis Brennan.

I came to Pacific in May, 2002, as a Help Desk Technician at the Office of Information Technology.  I moved to the Dean's Office at the School of Ed in August, 2004.  In July, 2006, I moved to the Educational Administration and Leadership department, and have been busy learning the particulars of graduate student needs in our program.  I continue to have a technical support role and am a Technical Support Person at the School of Education.

Also, I am returning to school as a transfer student and started classes as an undergrad in Fall, 2007.

Naturally, my major is education, and my advisor is Dr. Draheim.

Our students inspired me to come back to school.  99% of them work in school districts and higher ed settings in California.  They all manage to work full time AND attend and succeed in their classes, at night and on weekends.  Working with them made me realize that education is always a possibility.

I enjoy working one-on-one with the students and seeing them grow through their studies.  They have inspired me and I am happy to help them, as we all continue our education.
