Mary-Lou provides academic advisement for new, continuing and transfer students. She is knowledgeable about university regulations, major, minor and general education requirements. She is aware of campus and community resources, provides referrals and information on study skills and other college success strategies.
Mary-Lou collaborates as a team member on delivery of freshmen and transfer student orientation, student retention initiatives, Open House, Profile Day, and special events. Participates on university committees including Council of Assistant Dean's, Academic Regulations, First-Year Experience, Curriculum, Advising and Program Planning (CAPP), and Chairs the Academic Standards Committee in the School of International Studies.
