Travel Study: Developing a Curriculum for Academic Enrichment
1-3 graduate-level professional development units
Educators and related personnel can develop a personalized academic program based on their individual travels either within the United States or abroad.
Each participant designs a sequence of academic activities based on travel experiences.
Upon completion of an approved academic travel plan, the participant develops lesson plans, units of study, or audio-visual curriculum aids and materials (i.e., slide presentations with narration, videotape recordings, etc.) based on information, activities and experiences from their travels.
This course may be a follow-up to an organized travel study course or a separate independent study program.
