Why choose a Sport Sciences degree at Pacific?

At Pacific, students secure a foundation in the sport sciences along with a solid liberal arts education. In addition to acquiring a broad base of knowledge and intellectual skills, students can specialize within our four areas of concentration. Regardless of the specific path you choose, we offer many opportunities for learning and research outside of the classroom, often through our faculty members who are active in the community.

Experiential Learning

Exciting experiential learning opportunities are available in our major and concentrations: Athletic Training, Sport Management, Sport Medicine, and Sport Pedagogy. These are non-classroom real-world experiences that integrate theory with practice. They include varied opportunities within:

  • Intercollegiate athletics
  • Physical therapy clinics
  • Professional sports
  • Elementary, middle and high schools
  • Orthopedic clinics
  • Hospitals
  • Recreation programs
  • Event Management

Research Opportunities

“The Sport Sciences Department at Pacific has given me the opportunity to pursue research in a field that excites me! We even presented our research at the Pacific Undergraduate Research Conference.”
