Degree Programs

Five degree programs are offered through the department:

• Bachelor of Arts in Geology: liberal arts students with a strong interest in the environment, but who do not desire to pursue geology as a career.
• Bachelor of Science in Geology: prepares students for graduate study or professional employment in the geosciences.
• Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies: an interdisciplinary program for liberal arts students who are interested in environmental issues.
• Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science: an interdisciplinary major that prepares students for graduate study or professional employment in the environmental field.
