Welcome to the Pacific Legal Scholars Program

Pacific Legal scholars

Students can expect a unique and highly personalized experience from the Pacific Legal Scholars Program at the University of the Pacific. We offer an accelerated honors law program in conjunction with Pacific McGeorge School of Law, and we expose students to many facets of the legal profession throughout their academic career.

Accelerate Your Success: 3+3 and 4+3 Degree Programs

Our 3+3 and 4+3 Pacific Legal Scholars initiative is a distinctive program that allows you to complete your undergraduate and law degrees over a six- or seven-year period. We are the only university in California offering a 3+3 law program. The aim of the undergraduate component of the program is to ensure students are ready for the rigors of law school and to equip them with the skills necessary to launch a successful legal career.

We achieve these goals, in part, by having students complete an undergraduate major at the university, take three unique one-unit seminars, and participate in various activities, such as legal symposia and visits to courthouses to observe trials in action.

Pacific Legal Scholars Seminars

The three one-unit seminars are designed to help you explore different legal career opportunities, develop essential analytical reasoning and writing skills, and expose you to numerous scholars and practitioners in the legal field.

Broad Exposure to the Legal Profession

Through the Pacific Legal Scholars Program you will have valuable opportunities to interact with exceptional law faculty at the Stockton and Pacific McGeorge campuses, judges and lawyers in the legal community, and Pacific alumni who have pursued a variety of legal careers.

These relevant learning activities, along with your major program, will ensure that you are prepared to become a superior law student and citizen leader in the legal community.
