Graduate Studies

The Psychology Department offers a program of graduate study leading to the M.A. degree in Psychology. We offer two tracks:

  1. Applied Behavior Analysis track (MA or doctoral preparation)
  2. Clinical/Counseling Doctoral Preparation track.

Students wishing to pursue a doctorate in applied behavior analysis should apply under the applied behavior analysis track, but indicate in a cover letter that they ultimately wish to apply to a doctorate program in ABA.

Overall PROGRAM FOCUS for BOTH Tracks
Note that coursework and practica involvement overlaps substantially for both tracks, while some requirements and experiences remain separated.

  • Extensive experience with behavioral and assessment techniques.
  • Wide variety of applied experience in a number of different settings.
  • Intensive involvement in designing, conducting, and evaluating research.
  • Coursework in theoretical and research foundations of applied behavior analysis and cognitive behavior theory.
  • Commitment to the development of student potential by active, supportive, involved faculty.
