Transfer Credit PolicyTransferable UnitsUniversity of the Pacific allows students to transfer coursework from other colleges and universities, counting toward a Pacific degree. Once you accumulate 70 units from all schools, including Pacific, additional community colleges courses will satisfy content requirements only and will not apply to the minimum units required for graduation. Once a student has reached 40 units less than what is required for his/her degree, only 8 more units may be accepted from a four year institution. Additional community college or four year institution courses will satisfy content requirements only and will not apply to the total units for graduation. Satisfaction of content requirements mean that the Pacific requirement will be met upon successful completion of the transfer course but units will not transfer.
Acceptable Transferable CreditPacific accepts transfer credit only from regionally accredited colleges and universities. The following are the accrediting bodies recognized:
We reserve the right to request additional information about coursework including: course descriptions, syllabi and catalogs. Transferable GradesA grade of "C-" or below will not transfer to Pacific. Failure to pass a placement test will result in remediation in that area of study. Pacific will not accept placement tests from other colleges and universities. International CourseworkPacific requires original copies of all grade reports, transcripts, and exam results before transfer credit can be determined. Course descriptions for all coursework are required. Documents may be submitted in languages other than English, but must be accompanied by a translated copy of the same document. |
