The following courses will serve as a guide for students wishing to transfer to the University of Pacific in Biochemistry.
Recommended Courses:
Organic Chemistry I & II with Lab
Calculus I and II
Calculus III (For anyone taking Physical Chemistry)
Introductory Physics I and II with Lab
For Biochemistry Majors: (Required)
General Chemistry I & II: The important general principles, theories and concepts of chemistry are studied. Labs are required for these classes. Course must be designed for chemistry majors.
Introduction/General Biology I: A lecture and laboratory introduction to plant and animal diversity, ecology and evolution. Preparation for continued studies in biological science.
Botany/Zoology/Introduction/General Biology II: A lecture and laboratory introduction to vertebrate anatomy and physiology, cellular and molecular biology, cellular energetics and genetics.
