Recommended Transfer Coursework: Japanese

The following courses will serve as a guide for students wishing to transfer to the University of Pacific in Japanese.

Recommended Courses:

Four semesters of introductory and intermediate Japanese

Students may complete these two years prior to transferring, but all transfer students must take a placement test in the language in which they intend to major. If the proficiency level differs from the expected level based on language courses a student transfers in, students will be required to begin at the real level of skill, which may require retaking a particular level. Students in this situation will not earn units towards graduation for the repeated course or courses.
