Recommended Transfer Coursework: History

The following courses will serve as a guide for students wishing to transfer to the University of Pacific in History.

Recommended Courses:

Western Civilization I and II (will fulfill Fundamental Human Concerns)

or

US History I and II (will fulfill Society and Culture in the United States)

or

Latin American History Survey I and II (will fulfill Society and Culture Outside the United States)

or

Asian Civilization Survey I of II (will fulfill Society and Culture Outside the United States)

Choose one sequence of courses rather than taking many lower level courses in disparate geographical areas. Beyond this, a globally–oriented course would be useful.

(History Department expects that most of the upper level course work for transfer students should be done at Pacific.)
