Three-semester MA in International Relations

To provide educational support for these individuals, University of the Pacific's School of International Studies has partnered with the Intercultural Communication Institute  ( ICI) in Portland, Oregon, to offer a distinctive Master of Arts degree in Intercultural Relations (MAIR).

Designed to prepare students for stimulating new opportunities at home and abroad, or to increase skills in an existing career, our Intercultural Relations graduate program offers a unique curriculum in a creative format.

Designed For Professionals

The Master's degree in Intercultural Relations is for adult professionals who wish to earn an advanced credential in a two-and-one-half to three-year period while maintaining employment or other commitments.

This limited-residency program is intended to meet the needs of individuals who find the schedule and structure of a traditional full-time MA program inappropriate for their situation.

For this reason, the core courses of the MAIR program are taken over eighteen months.

Students are in residence in Portland every six months for two weeks, in January and July.

Additional information on the MAIR Program can be found the School of International Studies MAIR Program website.
