Undergraduate, Graduate and Professional Program Grants
University Grants
Most University aid is awarded on the basis of academic achievement or performance ability, and/or financial need. University of the Pacific Grants of up to $15,000 per year are awarded to entering freshman who demonstrate financial need.
Federal Pell Grant
Federal grants are reserved for students who demonstrate high financial need. Pell Grants are considered the foundation of Federal financial aid, to which aid from other sources might be added. The maximum Pell Grant is $4,731 per year.
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)
The Federal SEOG program is for undergraduates with exceptional financial need. Eligible Pacific students are typically awarded grants between $1,000 and $2,000 per year.
Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG)
First- and second-year students who qualify for the Federal Pell Grant may also be eligible for an Academic Competitiveness Grant. ACG grants provide $750 for the first year of study and $1,300 for the second year.
The National Science & Mathematics Access to Retain Talent Grant (National SMART Grant)
The National SMART Grant provides up to $4,000 per year for the third and fourth years of study to Pell Grant recipients who are pursuing designated majors in science, mathematics, engineering, or technology, or are majoring in a foreign language determined to be critical to national security.
SUCCESS Grants
The U.S. Department of Education and the University of the Pacific's Office of Financial Aid have provided funds for a limited number of grants for qualified students in SUCCESS. These grants are designed for SUCCESS students who are current PELL grant recipients to help meet any unmet financial need (as determined by the Office of Financial Aid).
Pacific Fund Grants
The Pacific Fund Grants Program is a direct result of the generous annual support from alumni, parents, employees, students and friends. Every gift to the Pacific Fund goes toward student access and academic innovation. Undergraduate scholarships, study abroad, faculty research, and service-learning are just some of the ways that supporting the Pacific Fund directly impacts the University.

Cal Grants
Cal Grants are need-based grants are for low-income and middle-income students who are California residents and attend California colleges and universities. Cal Grants provides up to $9,708 per school year for tuition and fees.
Pacific will match Cal Grants with University funds!
We'll match your Cal Grant A or B with University funds, provided that you qualify financially for the additional award and that the Cal Grant and University funds combined do not exceed your actual tuition charges.
