Choice of Preparatory Coursework

Recommended Course of Study for High School Students

University of the Pacific recommends that applicants complete a college preparatory course of study aimed at strengthening analytical abilities and written and oral skills. This course of study typically includes:

  • 4 years of English
  • 3 (or 4) years of mathematics
  • 2 (or 3) years of laboratory science
  • 2 years of the same foreign language
  • 1 year of U.S. History
