Banner Accounts

Banner Access Account Procedures:

  1. The employee's supervisor prints a "Banner Access Request Form" for the appropriate module (below).
  2. The supervisor completes and signs the form, and submits it (both sides - 2 pages) to the appropriate Banner Data Steward (DS)/Information Broker (IB).
    Note: Please note that some modules have additional mandated requirements (e.g. additional forms or training).
  3. Upon receipt of the completed form, the DS/IB will notify the supervisor of any additional requirements.
  4. Once all requirements are met, the DS/IB grants (or not) approval and sends/faxes both sides of the signed hardcopy to Ron Young, Banner DBA.
  5. The DBA notifies the DS/IB when the end-user has been created.
  6. The DS/IB completes the process and notifies the end-user and the supervisor.

Student Module: Requires signed Student Record Policy & Confidentiality Statement & Banner Navigation training.

Advancement Module: Requires signed California Law & Confidentiality Statement.

EA Projects: Banner projects that include bringing new users into Banner will require Banner Navigation training.

Third-parties (consultants, contractors and agency temporaries) must complete the "Third Party Access Agreement."
