Eric Thomas
Eric O. Thomas (B.S., University of California-Riverside, 1984; M.A., University of California-Riverside, 1987; Ph.D., University of California-Berkeley, 1991), Associate Professor.
Dr Thomas and his students investigate pheromonal communication and reproductive physiology in amphibians, using the dwarf African frog Hymenochirus as the principal research model.
Current and recent student research projects include assessment of pheromones as inducers of ovulation, developing bioassays for mating pheromones, and using mRNA extracts to screen for and identify potential pheromone-encoding genes.
Dr. Thomas teaches: Principles of Biology, Human Physiology, Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Endocrinology, Hormones & Behavior, Comparative Physiology, and Engineering Physiology.
