Jim Hetrick had a SoundClip segment with narration recently aired on NPR's "All Things Considered". You can listen to the piece at NPR's Website. It's a recording of very low (audio) frequency radio waves from the magnetosphere recorded at the South Pole several years ago. Prof. Hetrick spent 13 months there (staying through the six-month long Antarctic night) studying the interactions of cosmic rays, the Earth's magnetosphere, and auroras.
