Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) is an educational and scientific society uniting the world's computing educators, researchers and professionals to inspire dialogue, share resources and address the field's challenges. ACM strengthens the profession's collective voice through strong leadership, promotion of the highest standards, and recognition of technical excellence. ACM supports the professional growth of its members by providing opportunities for life-long learning, career development, and professional networking.
Purpose
- The Chapter is organized and will be operated exclusively for educational and scientific purposes to promote the following:
- An increased knowledge of and greater interest in the science, design, development, construction, languages, management and applications of modern computing.
- Greater interest in computing and its applications.
- A means of communication between persons having an interest in computing.
- The Chapter will serve students at the University of the Pacific.
- The Chapter is chartered by the ACM.
