Office of Research and Graduate Studies

Office of Sponsored Programs

The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) is the administrative center for sponsored programs for the University. In addition to the pre-award activities of assisting the faculty and staff in the preparation and submission of grants and contracts, the office is responsible for post-award activities, including final close-out and reporting.

Pre-award management is the responsibility of the Manager, Research Administration & Compliance, who assists faculty and students to identify funding sources, prepare and submit proposals, and assure that proposals meet the requirements of the funding agency. This individual is also the administrator for the Stockton Campus Institutional Review Board (IRB), the initial contact for internal funding, intellectual property and patent questions, and oversees the responsible conduct of research on campus.

Post-award management is the responsibility of the Manager, Post-Award Administration, who assists faculty in the financial administration of grants and contracts, prepares interim and final cost reports, and assists in close-out activities.
