





Advisory Board
The Brubeck Institute Advisory Board is entrusted with the responsibility of advising and guiding Institute leadership and staff with the development of the Brubeck Institute’s mission statement, purpose, goals, policies, programs, and activities. Its role is critical to the success of every phase of the Institute’s operations.
Board Members
Robert Benedetti
Bob Benedetti is Professor of Political Science and the Executive Director of the Jacoby Center for Public Service and Civic Leadership at Pacific. He is a political scientist and the former Dean of the College of the Pacific. He has served as President of the Northern California and Florida Political Science Associations. Currently, he is a member of the boards of the Federation of State Humanities Councils and the Haggin Museum.

Russell S. Gloyd
Russell Gloyd is Dave Brubeck’s producer, conductor, and arranger. During his distinguished career with Brubeck that began in 1976, he has conducted scores of concerts with major orchestras, choral ensembles, and jazz organizations throughout the world. He has recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra and has produced numerous records for Dave Brubeck and the Dave Brubeck Quartet.

Richard S. Jeweler
Richard S. Jeweler is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, and Stanford Law School. He has practiced law in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 30 years. Throughout that time he has represented Dave and Iola Brubeck in legal and business matters, including in the music and recording industries.
