Phi Kappa Phi Graduate Fellowships
The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi's ongoing commitment to excellence is reflected in its scholarships and awards programs. More than $800,000 is awarded each year to outstanding Phi Kappa Phi members and chapters through the Society's various awards competitions: the Fellowship, Phi Kappa Phi Scholar & Artist, Emerging Scholar Awards, Study Abroad Grants, Literacy Grants, and Love of Learning.
The Knowles Science Teaching Foundation Teaching Fellowship is awarded to men and women who have received a bachelor's or advanced degree in science, engineering or mathematics who plan to teach high school science or mathematics. The fellowship supports them professionally and financially for up to five years through a teacher preparation program to eligibility for tenure. Deadline is mid-January.

Gina Finzi Memorial Student Summer Fellowships for Lupus Research
The LFA is pleased to announce that Gina Finzi Memorial Student Summer Fellowships will be available for the summer of 2009. The purpose of these awards is to foster an interest in lupus research among young researchers under the supervision of an established investigator. Undergraduate, graduate, and medical students are eligible to apply; however, preference is given to students with a college degree.
The Christine Mirzayan Science & Technology Policy Graduate Fellowship Program
The National Academies is designed to engage graduate science, engineering, medical, veterinary, business, public policy, and law students in the analytical process that informs the creation of national policy-making with a science/technology element. As a result, students develop basic skills essential to working in the world of science policy.
Pat Tillman Foundation Military Scholarship Applications
The Pat Tillman Foundation has announced that the new Leadership Through Action - Tillman Military Scholars program is accepting applications.
The new Leadership Through Action initiative continues to support the mission of the foundation to carry forward Pat Tillman's legacy of leadership and civic action by supporting future generations of leaders who embody the American tradition of citizen service.
Individuals eligible for the Leadership Through Action - Tillman Military Scholars program include veterans and active service members of both pre- and post-9/11 service; service members who wish to start, finish, or further their education; service members of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, National Guard, and Reserve); service members pursuing undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate, two-year, four-year, public, private, vocational, and trade degrees or certifications; and dependants of service members (children and spouses).
Aspen Institute Program on Philanthropy and Social Innovation Accepting Applications for Fall Hearst Fellowship
The Aspen Institute Program on Philanthropy and Social Innovation in Washington, D.C., offers the William Randolph Hearst Endowed Fellowship three times a year to introduce a diverse group of students to issues and challenges affecting philanthropy, social enterprise, nonprofit organizations, and other actors in the social sector.
The fellowship, which is based on academic excellence and need, is open to both undergraduate and graduate students of color. The Hearst Fellow serves as an intern with PSI, providing research, writing, and logistical and administrative support for leadership initiatives, public programs, and convenings. Recipients may arrange with their colleges or universities to receive academic credit for the experience.
A fellowship grant of approximately $2,000 will be awarded this fall.
