Honors Program

Pacific's Honors Program supports excellence in academic and co-curricular endeavors. The program encourages Pacific's strongest students to take leadership and service roles during their undergraduate years and beyond.

We support special academic programs and extra-curricular programs designed to enrich the social, cultural, and intellectual lives of our students. Freshmen Honors students are encouraged to participate in the residential program by living in one of the Honors Residence halls, John Ballantyne House or Carter House, though the Honors activities sponsored by these houses are available to all Honors students.

George Randels is the Honors Program Director. He joined the Pacific faculty in 1996. He is currently an associate professor and chair of the Department of Religious & Classical Studies. Dr. Randels previously taught at Emory University, New College of Florida and the University of Virginia. His primary research areas focus on practical ethics, with emphasis in bioethics and business ethics.
