Honors Program Overview

Pacific's Honors Program supports excellence in academic and co-curricular endeavors and encourages Pacific's strongest students to take leadership and service roles during their undergraduate years and beyond.

We support special academic programs and many extra-curricular experiences designed to enrich the social, cultural, and intellectual lives of our students.

One of the new classrooms in Pacific's new Biological Sciences Center.Participation in the Honors Program is by invitation; each student who is accepted to the University is considered.

Generally, we look for a combination of high grades and test scores, but we also consider students whose backgrounds suggest some unusual talents that regular transcripts and scores cannot reveal.

Essentially, we seek those who are motivated and talented.

About 15-20% of the freshman class participates in the freshman program.

We also invite students to join the honors program after their first and second semesters as freshmen at UOP if they earn a 3.5 GPA or better. We do not now have an honors program for transfer students.
