What are your impressions of how diverse Pacific's campus community is?

I feel pacific is striving to become a very diverse campus; not only in the categories of race, gender, or religion but becoming more diverse in its thinking. There is a reason why we are striving towards this diversity, because we have not achieved it yet. The Pacific community has come a long way but I know we can push to make strides toward greatness. It would be a great start if the student demographics represent our nation's diverse demographics.

What does diversity mean to you?

Diversity is not just a word but a way to live ones life. It is a description of how open one is to learning about others and the differences between the two.

What activities have you been involved in that relates to diversity?

I was the president of the Association of Latin American Students and a participant in For People of Color Law Conference. I also do my best to promote diversity of thought by attending many events that are held on campus by a variety of organizations.

Ginger is a 2000 graduate of Northern Arizona University with a Bachelors Degree in Sociology and was previously a social worker for Arizona Child Protective Services and as statewide training specialist for the Court Appointed Special Advocate Program (CASA) at the Arizona Supreme Court. After graduation from Pacific McGeorge in 2010, Ginger hopes to utilize her law school education and experiences in policy development for child welfare issues or in charitable event planning. While not attending classes, Ginger is a freelance writer, and enjoys cooking and reading.
