Music Management Internships
Conservatory of Music
A music management degree from the Conservatory of Music provides students with the opportunity to develop relevant industry experience while completing their degree. Students are required to take at least one internship for credit.
The Department of Music Management actively cultivates relationships with a wide variety of music industry organizations that are interested in providing our students with a summer learning experience. Locations of music management internships vary from Los Angeles, to San Francisco, New York and throughout the country. Students select their area of interest and utilizing the University's industry contacts, pursue internships at some of the most respected, well-known and cutting edge organizations in music including instrument manufacturers, leading symphony and opera companies, alternative clubs and record labels, festivals, recording studios and management companies, to name a few. Each year eight to ten students are advised and assisted in securing relevant internships, and they maintain contact with their faculty advisor throughout the internship to help insure that each student's learning objectives are met.
