Journalism 101
Note: All online classes require textbooks. There is one copy available in the Pacific library on reserve and one copy for check out. All courses must be completed within 6 months of start date.
System Requirements:
Operating System: Windows 98 or newer, Mac OS 9.2 or higher, Linux/Unix (any recent version).
Hardware: 400 Mhz or faster CPU, 128 MB RAM, video card, sound card and headphones or speakers (some assignments have audio components).
Software: Microsoft Office 97 (or newer) or comparable office suite such as OpenOffice (free download available at http://www.openoffice.org), Flash Plugin (free download available at http://www.adobe.com), Adobe Acrobat Reader (free download available at http://www.adobe.com).
Web Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher, Firefox 1.0 or higher (free download available at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/), Netscape, Mozilla, Safari, Opera, and other web browsers may work, but they might not be able to render all features of the course(s). Cookies must be enabled.
Internet: Reliable internet connection E-mail account (to be able to register and to receive e-mail from the system regarding registration, course status, etc.)
