“Pacific has given me the opportunity to really get to know my professors and other students in my classes. Because of the small class sizes, learning has been very personal and based on quality relationships and experiences. I like my professors’ genuine desire to inspire me and encourage me to grow.” --Emily F.

“Pacific’s Economics Department has offered me a combination of attributes I cannot imagine finding elsewhere. The course instruction has been presented in a manner that fosters interest and understanding. The classes are small and personal, leaving me always looking forward to attending. I have no reservations on dropping in on a professor to ask a quick question, and they always have made the time to entertain my inquiries. When comparing with other friends at larger universities, I have not found similar results.” --Kyle K., Economics Major

“I'm majoring in International Relations and Global Studies, Spanish, and French. One of the things that was so appealing to me about Pacific is how easy it is to double (or in my case triple) major with a language and something else. Studying abroad is extremely easy to arrange and getting classes taken abroad to count for a foreign language major at Pacific is really easy too. Also, since Pacific isn't a huge school, I know all of my professors. In my French class this semester, there are only ten of us, so everyone gets a chance to participate and know the professor. My experience at Pacific has been great!” -- Andrew S.

“Being stuck in a classroom with 60 other students, with the teacher not really knowing who I am, is why I didn’t go to a UC school. In an English class at Pacific there are 10-20 people, and when I’m finished with a class my teacher knows me and would be able to write an appropriate recommendation. The English professors here are some of the most energetic, knowledgeable, fun, and approachable teachers I have ever met. They are the kind of professors that I feel I can be 100% open with, be myself, and even see myself looking up to as the kind of teacher I’d like to become some day. The professors also care about you, and will push you to do your best work.” —Misha M., English Major

“I was accepted into many large schools in Southern California, but coming from a small high school, I knew how important/rewarding it was to have small classes and a good relationship with your professor.” –Alex H.

“I really like how encouraging my academic advisor is. My professors will do anything to ensure you are doing well in class and understand the material we are focusing on. They are so ready and willing to help in any way they can.” –Rachelle S.
