Stephen Perdicaris

Lecturer in Trombone / Operations Manager / Director-Pacific Music Camp

Stephen Perdicaris, lecturer in trombone, has been at the University of the Pacific since 1993.  He received his B.M. degree from the University of North Texas and an Associate with Honors in trombone performance from the Royal College of Music in London. His major teachers include Leon Brown, Mark Lawrence, and Carl Lenthe.

Mr. Perdicaris has performed with the Sacramento Philharmonic since 1996.  He has performed with the Sacramento Symphony (1984-96), the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (England), the Houston Symphony, and others.  He can be heard on numerous recordings on the EMI and Summit Records labels.  He has performed with conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle, Andre Previn, and Robert Shaw, and with performers including Tony Bennett, Sammy Davis Jr., Manhattan Transfer.  He is a member of the International Trombone Association, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and Pi Kappa Lambda, and is a clinician for the Selmer Bach Corporation.

In the Conservatory, Mr. Perdicaris teaches trombone, chamber music, and is Director of the Pacific Music Camp.  He also serves as Operations Manager and is the primary scheduling officer for the Conservatory.
