Rex Cooper

Rex Cooper, professor of piano, has been a member of the faculty at the University of the Pacific since 1973.  He holds the B.M. from Oberlin College Conservatory of Music, the M.S. from the Juilliard School of Music, and the Doctor of Music from Indiana University.  His major teachers include Adele Marcus, Konrad Wolff, Leon Fleisher, Howard Aibel (Accademia Chigiana, Siena), Gyorgy Sebok, and Vlado Perlemuter (Paris).

Dr. Cooper has performed recitals, chamber music, and concertos in England, France, Italy, Japan, and throughout the United States including Nevada City,CA (Twin Cities Concert Series), Salt Lake City(Mormon Tabernacle), Eugene, OR (University of Oregon), and Austin, TX (University of Texas).  He is a former pianist with the American Symphony Orchestra under Leopold Stokowski and has recorded with CRI.  He is also an artist with New Era International Artists Management.

Dr. Cooper teaches piano and music history in the Conservatory of Music.
