Margaret Perry

Lecturer in Class Piano and Piano Pedagogy

Margaret Perry is a lecturer in class piano and piano pedagogy and joined the faculty of the Conservatory of Music in Fall 2004. She holds the B.M. in piano performance and pedagogy and the M.M. in piano performance from Brigham Young University, and the D.M.A. in piano performance from the University of Arizona. She studied with Paul Pollei and Rex Woods.

Most recently, Dr. Perry has been the Ensemble Artist Pianist with the Utah Symphony and Opera. At the University of Arizona, she taught class piano for both music majors and non-music majors. She has performed throughout the western United States and Italy as a soloist and a collaborative pianist. She has worked with numerous vocal and instrumental artists and has been a rehearsal pianist for the Utah Opera Chorus and the Utah Symphony Chorus. She is a member of MTNA, CAPMT, College Music Society, and Phi Kappa Phi.

In the Conservatory of Music, Dr. Perry teaches class piano, piano pedagogy, and works with selected classes in opera production.
