





First Int'l San Joaquin Film Festival with Finale Sunday
San Joaquin Cross-Cultural Media and University of the Pacific are proud to celebrate the Finale of the 1st International San Joaquin Film Festival with three dynamic events on Sunday, June 8 at Pacific.
At 2 pm in Faye Spanos Concert Hall, celebrate the West Coast premiere of "Rain Falls from Earth" with filmmaker Steve McClure. Narrated by Oscar-nominated Sam Waterston, this is a story of courage, survival and eventual triumph over the Khmer Rouge regime. Film will open with Greg Cahill's "The Golden Voice," starring Sophea Pel.
At 4:45 pm in the Presidents' Room, begin an evening of excellence with a pre-reception, filled with filmmakers, film lovers and the honorees of this year's festival.
At 6:30 pm in Faye Spanos Concert Hall, honor the exemplary talents of featured filmmakers of this year's festival, including Ambassador Award recipient Erahm Christopher. End on a high note with the Central Valley Premiere of "Love & Dance," an intriguing narrative feature by Israeli filmmaker Eitan Anner.
Finale Sunday and "Lights, Camera, Pacific!" programs are co-hosted by The Jacoby Center and International Programs and Services at Pacific.
