The Gladys L. Benerd School of Education's Educational and School Psychology Department receives NASP Approval.

(June 12, 2008) -

The National Association of School Psychologists Approval Board granted the Department of Educational and School Psychology NASP Approval-Full (National Recognition) of the Ed.S. School Psychology Program covering the period of January 1, 2008 through December 31, 2012.  Candidates who graduate from the UOP  Ed.S. program while it holds the NASP-approved status, are automatically eligible for the National Certificate in School Psychology (NCSP), pending the attainment of a passing score on the Praxis II Examination in School Psychology and documentation of an internship consistent with NASP standards.
