Pacific Offers "Geocaching" Opportunity on Stockton Campus

Pacific invites geocachers to campus for the thrill of the hunt and to just enjoy the beauty of the campus. Geocaching, becoming a very popular hobby, is a scavenger hunt using a GPS (Global Positioning System) device. People all over the world have placed caches and then posted the coordinates on www.geocaching.com, the official Web site. A cache (pronounced cash) can vary from the size of a thimble to a shoe box and has, at a minimum, a log that can be signed by all that find the cache. Some caches have trinkets. You can take a trinket, leave a trinket and sign the log.

There are a couple of caches on the Stockton campus, with a few more coming soon so grab your GPS and come hunting. If you are not familiar with geocaching, visit www.geocaching.com. The site provides an excellent overview of how to get started as well as the locations of all the caches currently hidden in the world.
