Current Projects:

Web Redesign of Pacific.edu (09-10)

The University has engaged the firm EM2 Design to do a redesign of the University website. We have begun a preliminary "discovery" process to inform EM2 of our needs and web issues and to assess what we want in our next iteration of the site. Work will continue through the academic year and we expect to launch the new site in the summer. The scope of work is focused on the Stockton website, though we are keeping the San Francisco and Sacramento campus communications offices involved in the process.
Lynn Donham, EM2's project manager will be on campus September 14-17 for interviews with key constituencies and users. EM2 has extensive higher-ed experience, recently with Clemson and Agnes Scott College. They also have experience integrating design with Ingeniux, our content management system (CMS).

The objectives for the new site will include:

• Improving user interface and site architecture
• Design new "look and feel"
• Provide customized designs for school sites
• Offer more flexible content layout options
• Scalability and flexibility for next generation of web features
• Ensure accessibility for people with disabilities
• Design to accommodate mobile devices and various monitor types

The project will be managed by Web Marketing Manager, Tanya Lopez in coordination with a Marketing-OIT workgroup. We plan to keep the University community informed with a redesign project blog www.Pacific.edu/web and periodic updates to key groups such as the Council of Deans.
