Professional:
Dr. Baxter has worked as a physical therapist for over 20 years. Her practice focuses on assessment and treatment of pediatric and neurological clients. She has completed residency training in Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF),and  certification in Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT). Dr. Baxter is an American Physical Therapy Association Board Certified Pediatric Specialist (PCS).

Courses at University of the Pacific:
PTHR 326 Therapeutic Exercise: Theory and Application. This course provides the theories and principles of therapeutic exercise. Included are the physiologic basis, procedures and techniques for strengthening and power-building exercises, stretching exercises, and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF).

PTHR 339 Motor Learning and Motor Control. This course focuses on current theories of motor learning and motor control. These theories will provide a foundation for clinical diagnosis of movement disorders as well as treatment intervention.

PTHR 344 Neuromuscular Physical Therapy. This course focuses on examination, evaluation and intervention of patients and clients with neuromuscular dysfunction. This course will emphasize the establishment of a diagnosis by a physical therapist, identification of a realistic prognosis and selection of various intervention options.
