Biography:

Hi! I'm excited to be here working in the Benerd School of Education. I graduated from Pacific in 1988 majoring in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations. I was raised in Stockton, attending local schools, including Lincoln High School. I am deeply rooted in the education system, my father, Dean Welin was an administrator with Lincoln Unified School District for over 25 years and my mother, Linda Welin, worked at Pacific for 25 years. My two beautiful children, Alyssa and Matthew, attend John Muir Elementary School.

I've been involved in the local community for over 20 years, volunteering for the then Pacific Athletic Foundations and the Business Leadership Summit. My role as the External Relations Director is to create outreach programs for alumni, plan special events, fundraising and establishing an advisory board for the school. "I am very excited for this opportunity - I feel like I've come back home."
