Pacific graduate Ryan Brown BUS ’00, MBA ’01, former coach of the Pacific Water Polo Team, represented the U.S. at the recent Olympic Games in Beijing. Brown was the assistant coach to the U.S. Men’s Water Polo Team, where he worked with goalies on the team to help earn their Silver Medal.
“It is a great honor to represent my country at the Olympic Games,” said Brown, who had dreamed about going to the Olympics his whole life. “It’s going to be a great experience,” said Brown, just before leaving for Beijing.
The U.S. Men’s Water Polo Team holds an overall 5-2 record in Beijing, where it advanced to the Gold Medal game for the first time in 20 years. It earned the Silver Medal following a tough game against the three-year Gold Medal holder, Hungary, in a 14-10 victory over the U.S.
