Culture

For the Modern Languages and Literature Department at Pacific, the culture of the target language is one of the principal catalysts for teaching.

In addition to the opportunity for direct cultural contact provided by Pacific's many Study Abroad program possibilities, our faculty emphasizes cultural content through the study of film, literature, poetry readings, invited speakers, film showings and theater outings. The web site of the Ornelas Language Learning Center also features cultural resources for each language area.
