Room Preferences

Each student will have the following in the room: a bed, dresser, desk and desk chair. The University owned furniture may not be removed or placed in storage. Students are responsible for and will be charged for missing or damaged furniture.

Double Occupancy Rooms - The majority of the rooms in residence halls are double occupancy rooms. The average size of a double room is 11 feet x 12 feet. Actual room sizes may vary slightly based upon the design of the building. (Consider bunking beds to create more space. Loft Contracts are available for students, please contact your Resident Assistant.) McConchie Hall double rooms are larger than our traditional double rooms; the measurements are 12 feet x 15 feet.

Single Rooms - These are limited single occupancy rooms available in the Quads and Southwest. The single rooms are classified as large single or small single. All single rooms will be waitlisted. No single rooms will be assigned during the Housing Sign-Up process. In conjunction with the Services for Students with Disabilities office, a medical form and questionnaire will need to be completed by the student along with documentation supporting the request.

Triple Occupancy Rooms - There are limited triple rooms in the Quads, Southwest, Grace Covell and McConchie Hall. Because of increased freshmen enrollment, all triple spaces will have 3 students.

There are two-bedroom/three student and one bedroom/two student with one bathroom, kitchen and living room. The McCaffrey Center Apartments have three bedrooms, one bathroom, shared living room and kitchen. Manor is a studio apartment, with small kitchen, living area, and a shared bathroom. Towerview, reserved for students with a spouse or domestic partner and/or child under the age of three, has one of two-bedrooms, one bathroom, living/dining room, and kitchen.
