Pacific Prominent at CSHA Annual Convention

March 5-8, 2009 the California Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CSHA) held their Annual State Convention in Long Beach. Pacific students, staff and alumni garnered numerous distinctions and awards over the course of the weekend. Dr. Simalee Smith-Stubblefield was named a Fellow of the Association; she was one of only three people to earn this distinction. Dr. Bob Hanyak was bestowed the Association’s highest award Honors of the Association. Several faculty members and students presented posters during the convention. Dr. Bob Hanyak gave two presentations, Dr. Jeannene Ward-Lonergan along with two students gave two poster presentations and Dr. Jill Duthie and a student gave a poster presentation. Pacific’s Speech-Language Pathology Alumni Association along with the department co-hosted an alumni breakfast where nearly 60 were in attendance. The breakfast was a great opportunity for alumni, current students, and faculty to reconnect and share Pacific Pride.
