All Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry students will be automatically enrolled in the Aetna Student Health Plan unless a waiver is filed by the posted deadline. The premium will be charged to the student account in July with a refund being provided once insurance coverage is verified and an online waiver is completed.

Enrollment: If you would like to enroll in the Aenta Student Health Plan please follow the instructions below before open enrollment closes. This will allow you to update your address and ensure a card be sent to you promptly. If you wait to be automatically enrolled, Aetna will not show you as an active member or send you a card until the waiver deadline has passed.

  1. Visit the Enternal Link Pacific page at Aetna Student Health
  2. Click Plans & Products Offered to You on the left hand navigation pane
  3. Click on the Enroll/Waive link in the left hand navigation pane
  4. Select the green link titled "Waive or enroll online for your University of the Pacific plan."
  5. Follow all of the instructions to complete enrollment.
  6. Review the plan brochure.

Waivers: You only need to submit a waiver once each year. Your coverage must meet the requirements of the university including: the coverage must provide authorized care within 100 miles of the Sacramento campus, the annual deductible cannot exceed $2,500, the coverage cannot be hospitalization/emergency only, and the underwriter of your plan must be located in the United States. To waive the plan follow the instructions below.

  1. Visit the External LinkPacific page on the Aetna Student Health website
  2. Click Plans & Products Offered to You on the left hand navigation pane
  3. Click Enroll/Waive on the left hand navigation pane
  4. Click the link titled "Waive or enroll online for your University of the Pacific plan."
  5. Follow the instructions to complete your waiver.
  6. Do not forget to mail a copy of the front and back of your insurance card to be verified to:
