SIS Students Attend Undergraduate Conferences
SIS Senior, William Castillo was selected to be a delegate at the Student Conference on US Affairs SCUSA 61: Scarcity, Instability, and Opportunity. The conference was held at the US Military Academy at West Point, NY, November 4-7, 2009. Will chose to participate in the roundtable discussion on the Middle East and Gulf States. SIS Senior, Catherine Cloud was selected to be a delegate at the 49th Annual U.S. Naval Academy Foreign Affairs Conference in Annapolis, Maryland April 13-16. The conference entitled Bridging the Gap: Combating Global Poverty focused on poverty in a global context and the political, economic, and social ramifications of poverty with the objective of identifying the paths to addressing these issues. At the conference, over one hundred universities and colleges were represented in addition to military delegates from both the United States and other nations.
