The 2009 Pacific Baseball Academy Summer Youth Camp offers players the opportunity to receive quality instruction from exceptional and experienced baseball coaches. The University of the Pacific Coaching Staff has designed and implemented a camp format to attract baseball talent to our Northern California campus.

Our goal is for you to experience first-hand how we teach, practice, and play the game here at UOP. At the same time, it offers our entire coaching staff the ability to instruct players in a competitive and challenging environment.

General Information

At University of the Pacific, we pride ourselves in playing the game the right way, the "Tiger" way. Sample Schedule
8:30am- checkin time
9:00am- introduction and talk about the day
9:10am- strech and run
9:25am- baserunning
9:45am- defensive stations
10:15am- water break
10:20am offensive stations
11:00am- lunch
11:45am- game time
12:50pm- break down fields and meet
1:00pm- camp over

Players attending this camp will benefit from playing on Klein Family Field. This beautifully manicured facility is the first on-campus home for the Pacific Baseball team since 1951 and officially opened its gates on April 18, 2006. The state of the art facility holds a capacity of 2,500 spectators. The field dimensions are 317 feet down the left field line, 380 feet at the left field power alley, 395 feet to straightaway center field, 367 feet at the right field power alley and 325 feet down the right field line.

Each camper must bring his own baseball equipment. Players should bring a glove, bat, cleats/spikes, running shoes or turf shoes, hat, and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. Catchers must bring their own gear. Helmets will be provided.

A certified athletic trainer will be on site at all times during the camp. Enrollment will be limited to ensure a player to coach ratio of 8-to-1. In addition to individual instruction, each camper receive a t-shirt for their participation.
