June 1

Swimming World Magazine had a story about the first of several scheduled exhibition games by the USA Water Polo Team. The next game is scheduled at Pacific later this week, the story said: Swimming World Magazine.

The Dartmouth had a story about a proposed change in federal law that would require Universities to also report crimes against students when they are off campus or studying abroad. The story said that Pacific is one of just a few schools that already does that: The Dartmouth.

The Fresno Bee had a story that said Pacific McGeorge graduate William M. Wunderlich, who for the past five years served as the federal magistrate judge in Yosemite National Park, resigned for health reasons on Monday: The Fresno Bee.

Good Day Sacramento interviewed the members of Pacific's Men's Water Polo Team and showed them practicing as part of a teaser to tonight's match between the USA Men's Water Polo Team against the Serbian Water Polo Team. The Kansan had a feature story about a classical music concert being played during the weekend. The story mentioned that one of the principal musicians is Pacific Conservatory Professor Nicolasa Kuster: The Kansan.

The Record had a brief that said John Carvana, director of Pacific's Career Resource Center, would talk about resume and interview skills at a local branch of the library: The Record.

The St. Louis Post Dispatch and the New York Times both ran a story about how the Supreme Court Justices revealed in their annual financial filings that they all lost a lot of money in the stock market in the past year. The Record had a feature on two local rock bands composed of working adults - The Educators and Pushers and Thieves. One of the members of the latter group is Greg Meath, a graduate of Pacific and Pacific McGeorge: The Record.

The Torrance Daily Breeze had a short story that said Pacific McGeorge graduate Michael Vicencia was elected president of the California Judges Association: Daily Breeze.

Indian Country Today had a story about a federal judge issuing an injunction against the federal smelt protection plan. The judge also ruled against some attorneys who wanted a study conducted by Pacific Associate Professor and Eberhardt Business Forecasting Center Director Jeff Michael tossed out. The judge said the arguments against Dr. Michael's study were "greatly exaggerated:" Indian Country Today.
