




Assistant Professor in History-Twentieth Century U.S./Women’s History
The History Department of the University of the Pacific invites applications for a tenure track position at the assistant professor level to teach the survey history of the United States, twentieth century U.S. history and women's history. Preferred sub fields include public history, gender or transnational history. Candidates should hold the PhD by time of appointment. Experience teaching a diverse population is preferred. The teaching load is 5 courses per year with expectation of teaching regularly in the university's Pacific Seminar sequence and general education program. Faculty are also required to advise undergraduates and participate in the University community through service. Additionally, Pacific faculty members are expected to maintain a strong research program. Applications must be received by November 1, 2009.
