The distinction between the Student Accounts Office and the Office of Financial Aid

The Student Accounts Office works closely with the Financial Aid Office, but there is a distinct separation of duties. 

The Students Accounts Office:

Collects payment for tuition, fees and housing charges.
Disburses refunds from excess financial aid.
Prepares billing statements.
Assists you with all inquiries related to student billing and payments.

The Office of Financial Aid

Assists with inquiries about the student FAFSA.
Prepares and sends the financial aid award letter.
Receives and reviews copies of tax returns.
Determines financial aid eligibility.
