BIJQ to play Jazz ‘N Caz
The Brubeck Institute Jazz Quintet will be one of the featured groups at Cazenovia College’s 8th annual jazz festival in Cazenovia, NY. The festival takes place September 24-26. Other featured performers include the Brubeck Brothers Quartet with Chris Brubeck, Dan Brubeck, Mike DeMicco, and Chuck Lamb; singer Jane Monheit and her quartet, Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks; the Bear Cat Jazz Band, and others. The BIJQ will open the festival at the kick-off party on the 24th, Jazz After Hours on the 25th, a feature performance on the 25th and another Jazz After Hours after that. It will be a homecoming for three of the BIJQ members, Chad Lefkowitz-Brown, Nick Frenay, and Noah Kellman, all of whom are from central New York.
