Congratulations - Dr. Joanna Royce-Davis and Shauna Sobers-Young!
(October 1, 2009) -
Each fall, the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) convenes
conferences in each of its six regions. A select number of awards are given at each regional conference, following an extensive nomination process and review by a region-wide selection committee. This year TWO persons from Pacific will receive awards.
Dr. Joanna Royce-Davis, Dean of Students is the recipient of the 2009 Outstanding Performance as a Dean Award. Joanna's significant leadership throughout the Division of Student Life, partnerships with faculty, leadership of the master's program in student affairs and contributions to NASPA have made her most deserving of this award.
Shauna Sobers-Young, Area Coordinator is the recipient of the 2009 Dorothy Keller Professional Award.
Shauna's professionalism and many contributions to Pacific as well as her role as the Regional Knowledge Community Coordinator for Region VI, NASPA have earned her this award.
The awards will be given during the NASPA Region VI conference in San Jose on November 6, 2009.
