Youth for Understanding Seeks Host Families

The School of International Studies has a long term affiliation with Youth for Understanding (YFU) International Exchange. Youth For Understanding (YFU) is a non-profit educational organization which offers opportunities for young people around the world to spend a summer, semester or year with a host family in another culture. YFU is looking for host families in the northern California area.
Hosting a YFU international exchange student is an enriching experience for you and the entire family. By opening your home and heart to a student from overseas, you and your family will gain a new global perspective, many memories, and - quite possibly - a new family member for life!
For families with sons and daughters interested in participating in an American Overseas Program next year, YFU USA offers discounts of $500 off a summer or $800 off a year/semester program if these families host an international teenager this year.
